Proactive Care & Nursing Agency believes that our staff are our most valuable asset and we strive to motivate and train them to a standard that will guarantee the provision of a high standard and quality of care. We recognise that our reputation rests on the quality of staff we place with our clients. We therefore invest heavily in training opportunities for our carers.
We give our staff the opportunity to raise their levels of knowledge and skills and to have more practical skills such as lifting and handling. We encourage our carers to study toward NVQ qualifications.
Recruitment
Interested applicants are invited to apply to the agency for a position either as Domiciliary Care Worker or as a Registered Nurse. All our staff are selected on the basis of their care skills and experience. Before commencing work with us you will be vetted to verify your previous experience, character and qualifications.
All our staff attend an induction training session before starting work with us. We also provide on-going development training to ensure that our staff are fully aware of good practice and that your skills are regularly updated.
Quality Monitoring and Consultation
Our quality assurance and monitoring programme include the following:
- Carrying out a risk assessment prior to commencement of service
- Regular supervision sessions for all our care staff
- Regular visits to service users home by the Care Supervisor to give support to staff and also to deal with any immediate concerns of our clients
- Access to a senior member of staff on call outside office hours to give support to our carers and also to respond to emergencies
In addition we do regularly survey our service users to find out how effective our services are and to monitor that we are doing what we say we will and also to ensure that our staff are providing a responsive service to our clients.
